With a resume that includes 10 years in the banking and lending sectors and over 20 years managing commercial storage properties on both the East and West Coasts, Marlene runs Mod Movers with strict fiscal discipline. Marlene felt it was necessary to go beyond simply moving seniors with compassion; she knew she needed to back that care with extreme knowledge and methodology. She achieved certification from the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) to offer a complete service that includes home setup, downsizing, estate sales, and assistance for adult children who are unable to be present during the move. She ensures that every senior move in Monterey County is managed with the patience and dignity required to help our community’s most vulnerable settle into their new lives.

The Mod Movers Story
For Marlene, Mod Movers was born out of perseverance. Living in Marina, CA, she worked two jobs day and night to make ends meet, dedicating every spare hour to proving that this business model could work. After a year of successful “proof of concept”—operating with limited equipment but unlimited heart—she officially launched the business in March 2017.
